Dr Donn Brennan has recently trained as a Marma Therapist. Come along to hear him explain it...
Marma therapies are described in the tradition of Ayurveda but have not been widely used or known about in recent times.
Prana in Ayurveda is the life force, and the energy that heals and reconnects the body’s intelligence to its source. The Marmas are the points (or areas) on the skin where there is a strong connection between consciousness and the physiology. There are 108 points in the body where this energy is especially lively and from these points, prana organises all functions and structure in the body.
In ancient times the understanding of these points travelled and in China became the basis of acupuncture.
In Marma therapy we very gently stimulate the flow of energy in these points. This is done through using aroma oils and very gentle touch.
Personal Health Consultations also available.
Join him in Edinburgh 26-28th, Dundee 29-31 October and Glasgow 1-4 November.
