How to make a Thermos Flask Lunch
Thursday 13th December, 7-9pm.

Would you like a warm nutritious lunch to replace cold sandwiches?   We will show you how it can be prepared in 5 minutes in the morning.   It will cook slowly while you're working or walking up that hill.  We will also explore other lunch box ideas that will sustain you and keep you in balance such as cashew nut chutney, beetroot salad and more.   Also learn about the wonders of ghee.
For those who had a Maharishi Ayurveda consultation with Dr Donn Brennan recently there will be an opportunity to ask any questions that may have arisen since then.

Anyone of any level of experience can enjoy and benefit from these profoundly restful day courses that enlighten you at the same time as they rejuvenate and de-stress you! Meet other meditators in a relaxed and nourishing environment, enjoy having your meal served up and regain inner balance and happiness.  The special coherence day programme helps to deepen your experience in meditation as well as gaining a more profound Intellectual understanding and helps to re-establish yourself in regular practice.

This day of complete relaxation involves:
  • Learning a simple set of yoga postures – great for weight balance, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, muscle tension etc.
  • Extra group meditation – helps to deepen your experience.
  • Maharishi Knowledge tapes – to understand your experience.
  • Meet other meditators over a delicious vegetarian lunch, organic where possible.
  • Go home recharged and rejuvenated!

Meditation Creativity Peace: Documentary

Iconic filmmaker David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, INLAND EMPIRE) is featured in a unique film entitled “Meditation Creativity Peace: Documentary of a 16-Country Tour,” which chronicles his travels throughout the world in 2007. During this tour he spoke to tens of thousands of college students about his practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique, his creative and artistic processes, and the ultimate goal of the David Lynch Foundation: to create peace in the world through meditation.
The aim of the screening is to boost awareness of Transcendental Meditation among the students of Glasgow, however the screening is not limited only to students.

Paralympian athlete Daniel Westley discusses how Transcendental Meditation keeps him balanced.

Daniel... had barely shown any interest in athletics until a tragic accident forced doctors to amputate both of his legs.  “Any given day I was racing two and three times a day,” he explains. “It was a pretty high intensity to be competing at.”............To perform at the highest level, Westley relied on Transcendental Meditation, a technique that involves two 15- to 20-minute sessions each day and promises a clear and quiet calmness for its practitioners.

Calvin Klein's Creative Design Director: TM Enlivens Intuition

In a recent interview in BoF (Business of Fashion) magazine.  Mr Zucchelli was asked: How do you keep your intuitions fresh?  He said, 'TM.  Intuition is something everybody has and meditation is a great way to develop it.  I was given a mantra 20 years ago.  I sit down and close my eyes....for 20 minutes.  It's a tool.  I would do it even if I cultivated tomatoes because I love it!'
Three years after Italo Zucchelli joined Calvin Klein in 2000, Klein himself stepped down and handpicked Zucchelli as his successor as the company's creative design director of menswear. Since then Zucchelli has seen nothing but success under the brand, twice being nominated as the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year and winning in 2009. It is said that Mr. Zucchelli maintains the simplicity and integrity of the roots of the Calvin Klein brand while bringing a uniquely European touch of
style in a sophisticated and effortless manner.

Cardiologist Dr César Molina on Transcendental Meditation

“I believe that there’s no better medicine than TM. It’s a potent intervention because it easily brings about a state of restful alertness, or Transcendental Consciousness, in which all physiologic processes are in balance. The cardiovascular system is very sensitive to this balance, which is why TM is so effective in the treatment of cardiovascular disorders."
Dr. César Molina learned the Transcendental Meditation technique during his senior year in high school in Puerto Rico in 1972. He says that his 40 years of TM experience has been “enlightening.”
