TM Weekend Residence Courses in Scotland 2017

Forest Lodge - Blair Atholl
17-19 November

These courses (sometimes called retreats) follow a tried and tested programme designed by Maharishi to give us the deepest possible rest in the shortest time. Good company, extra knowledge, deeper experiences in meditation, mountain air.

David Rae, who has been teaching TM in Scotland since the 1970s, will hold an Autumn course at Forest Lodge, Blair Atholl from 17-19 November.   Forest Lodge is a very popular location - remote and very silent; worth the journey.  Lovely food by our own talented team Judith and Andrew.  First-timers very welcome.

What happens on a course?
Rounding courses involve gentle yoga postures (asanas), a simple breathing technique (pranayama) and a session of Transcendental Meditation, repeated in cycles.
Enjoy an extended, deeply relaxing programme of extra meditations and inspiring recordings of Maharishi.
The courses are designed to promote the development of higher states of consciousness. This unique experience results in a dramatic reduction of accumulated stress and tension, boosting energy, clarity, happiness, creativity and health. There will be ample time for refreshing country walks too, so bring your country footwear.

Don't delay - book early!
Our last course at Forest Lodge, Blair Atholl, filled up very quickly, so book early!  It will be very helpful if you can pay well in advance, as we have already paid the full charge to the venue.

Catering will again be by our expert meditating team - Judith and Andrew, who will be going out of their way to give your taste buds a treat....the menu is vegetarian and special dietary needs can be catered for if we have notice.

The course runs from Friday afternoon/evening until Sunday afternoon. However you can stay an extra night and leave after breakfast on Monday morning, if your weekend will stretch that far, We'll provide a further meeting on Sunday evening.

The lodge is centrally heated and has a log fire in the comfortable parlour where we all meet together. The approach road from Blair Atholl (8 miles) is a beautiful drive up Glen Tilt, but may not be suitable for cars with limited clearance underneath. The official advice is that the road is driveable in an ordinary car if you take it slowly and carefully. We will do all we can to assist with transport, for example by arranging car sharing. Blair Atholl has a train service and is on the main Glasgow/ Edinburgh/ London to Inverness line. Taxis are available.
